This painting was inspired by reading poems by Federico Garcia Lorca (Libro de Poemas). It is an extraordinary Spanish poet who does not need presentation. In particular I was attracted by the poetry La Balada del agua del mar (The Ballad Seawater).
I Imagined the poet watching from a room window overlooking the sea, listen to the voice of the waves and create these wonderful verses.
I tried to give a feeling of waiting, despite the movement of the waves, a suspension that creates the perfect size for creating a work of art. Transcribing the opening lines of the poem.
