Candle Triptych

I painted this candle, oil on canvas triptych (cm 30×40 each) – a captivating journey depicted through the flame of a candle. This artwork explores the themes of transformation, impermanence, and the beauty found within fleeting moments.

The first painting showcases a vibrant, illuminated candle, symbolizing the vitality of life. In the second, a gentle breath causes the flame to sway, representing the fragility and ever-changing nature of our experiences. Finally, the third painting depicts the aftermath – a extinguished flame, leaving behind wisps of smoke as a reminder of the passage of time.

Through this triptych, I try to reflect on the transformative power of time and the transient nature of our existence. It serves as a reminder to appreciate each moment, adapt to change, and find beauty in every stage of our personal narratives.
