Oil on canvas portrait blurred style.
I made this painting during the summer holidays in Sorrento, Italy, year 2017. From the balcony of my room I saw this woman with her arms resting on the pool’s edge, waiting her man bringing something to drink. Of course I don’t know the story of that couple, but this image remained impressed in my memory. She followed his walk with her melancholic look and I was guessing what she was thinking in that moment. This is the reason why I decided to paint her portrait using this blurred style that to me represent the “blur” of memories.
